>>68311It's relatively easy to avoid the trains, presuming of course you're not running through a zero clearance section (City Hall IRT in NYC as a prime example). Also, with luck your system will have little alcoves to hide in when the trains come through. While the train mashing you into a paste is a pretty heavy affair it's relatively unlikely, being seen and consequently caught/fined/arrested/shutting down the line is a real possibility. If you've ever sat at the front of a train you'll know the visibility is reasonable and you're more obvious if moving about. Get the fuck in an alcove or lie on the ground ("try to look like rubbish" I was told while explore the Amtrak (freedom) tunnel with a mate). Either way depending on your system YMMV.
Naturally you can also venture down after hours, though be aware they may run trains back to the various depots after service which are entirely unpredictable. Furthermore there are work trains as well, which shuttle workers around the system - again entirely unpredictable. In fact the night's of both the photos posted above (

>>67116) we encountered workers of various types and narrowly avoided getting snapped.
I want to say don't be an idiot and get yourself pureed or arrested, but we've done endless dumb drunk fucking things in metro systems around the world and came out okay.
Note: don't throw bits of metal at the third rail.
2nd note: don't go into the tunnels with people on shrooms.
