I'm buying a house that has a massive pool barn for me to comfortably work on my Jeep, chop my wood, and work on developing my wood working skills. It also has a giant woodstove in it so I can work in it all year around. The downsides is its only 1 acre, but that's plenty of space for the chickens and vegie garden I plan on setting up next season. I'm already starting to collect the tools I need for my new life style. I'm actually going to be trying to go as 'off-grid' as I reasonably can. Going to be trying to heat the place almost exclusively by wood (gas while I'm at work).
I grew up in the country, lived in the city for a few years (big fucking mistake), but I can't take it anymore. City humans are so fucking scummy and disgusting with horrible outlooks and attitudes. Everyone here just thinks everything needs to be handed to them, but it all already is. You just have to pay the powers that be to give it to you. Everyone is so idealistic in all the worst ways, bickering about what's right and wrong and 'unfair' while I daydream about getting back into the woods and working on my future homestead. I need the natural life back.

If you don't like it now, get some land out in the middle of nowhere and live the way you think you want to live. If you're already complaining, then you probably can't handle living the way you think you want to live.
