I'm going on a hike through the Alps in a couple of days. Anything I should know specifically? Something I should certainly bring with me? Got the basics covered pretty much. And got a basic survival kit (and some knowledge of it (Read tons in The S.A.S. handbook) albeit few practical experience besides a 3 day basic survival course). Or any piece of advise for a hike-noobie? We'll travel in a group of 8 so I won't be alone of course.
