Once I got good enough with kitchen knives, I just tooka bunch of 10 inch nails, cut the heads off, and sharpened them. They are pretty damn simple to throw, and like others in this threat have mentioned, its more about stabbing into it and having mass behind it than it is about cutting. I killed a Racoon just last week with one.
