Leave your tent open, don't put a tarp over your hammock, etc. Skinwalkers will be confused and run away.
If you have a gun or large knife, leave it at home. Skinwalkers have a sense of fair play and won't hurt an unarmed person.
Bring along a bottle of barbeque sauce, preferably either hickory or bourbon flavor. Rub some on your body before going to sleep, it's not only a great mosquito repellant, but skinwalkers are disgusted by the smell.
