How do birds survive /out/door?

Unlike the birds, we have access to alot of information, in books and internet, we can figure out what to eat, and what we cannot eat (poisonous).

We also have guides on how to build a place to live.

How can birds survive in the dangerous forests? Their parents cant even talk or tell them which berries or plants are edible??

They cant use blueprints for building a safe house either, it doesnt make any sense.
