You know, normally when I see that much hate, it's just hype. So I decided to watch Grylls. Wow what a fucking turd. He's always running around and acting like hes out of breath, and he doesn't elaborate at all, doesn't explain anything in any depth, and he keeps acting like something is chasing him or something. Then he just does retarded shit that is in no way useful, like drinking blood from a deer. Why? For what purpose? Why would you eat your meat raw? Why not just cook it? Why are you making a shelter but then running away? What are you running from? Fuck that show.
Les Stroud isn't bad, but he's more about survival and roughing it, wheras I find Mears is more about bushcraft and comfort and utility. Mears never gives off the vibe of desperation the Stroud does. Although to be fair, Mears carries way more gear out with him. Also I don't like Stroud voice. It's a bit annoying, wheras I could just listen to Mears talk all day.
