I got one when they first started out cause it seemed pretty cool. Then I lost it. Then I got another one cause it came with fire steel, and figured it'd be good to have just in case when /out/. But it was too big and annoying, so I rarely touched it. Then I started making my own knife lanyards, and kinda got a thing for paracord, so I ended up making another one cause they're fun to wear when they're not too big. It's like, 10ft of cord at most, which isn't exactly super useful, but certainly better than nothing. It's battered and rugged, and I've yet to use it, but at least it's there.
What cracks me up is seeing vets and other faggots around campus wearing them. It's no different than maybe a "Come and take them" hat (which I've seen a lot of people wear, in public, and no fucks given because yea, if you give a fuck at all what anyone wears, you're a shitty prissy faggot), or say, faggy morale patches, and US flags (the IR kind) and blood type indicators. Are they faggy as fuck? Yea, but at least I know who has at least similar interests.
