I'm looking to get myself a brown leather jacket. I do a lot of work outside and I like to camp, fish, hunt, and hike. So I'm looking for something rugged enough to do outdoors stuff in, but still looks nice. What does /out. suggest?

Did you look at the video of that? The picture is nice, but it'll probably look like a joke irl. Leather jackets are shit these days, sadly. Especially for functional clothes. You'd likely be better off getting one second hand, or tailored if you can find someone good enough for it. The latter will be costly but it's a lifetime investment.

I have a jacket like in op's pic. Its terrible doing anything active. Its short so wind comes up the back when you bend and its bulky. Its easy to work up a sweat in it. Its not really an (out) jacket. It'd be good i think for motorcyclists on cold days who are in a fixed position for extended period or possibly door gunners at 40,000 feet. That being said its a nice jacket.

It's not leather but leather jackets nowadays are pretty shitty for anything practical. The only leather jacket I have is a motorcycle jacket with armor inserts and stuff like that, I wouldn't take it on a hike or use it for work.

Also, leather is windproof, waterproof, and durable as fuck. No, it isn't breathable, but some of us are okay with drowning in our own sweat.
