Hey there, scouts! So I bought a plot of land in the countryside and was planning to start building a small cob house this summer. But the paperwork is taking much longer than I expected (almost a year in stead of six months I planned for), and realistically I will not start building anything serious before winter comes. However I still have a month of decent weather and I still want a semi-permanent, cheap, and decently comfortable shelter to spend cold winter nights when I get back from the woods. So I'm planning to build a goahti or a wigwam (will dump pics). I'm from north-eastern Europe so temperatures range from -30 c to +35 c. During winter days sun can shine, than turn to rain, sleet and finally freeze over in the same day, so a tent could hardly survive that and a RV would be hardly practical (plus drunken gopniks would steal anything that could be resellable).
Has anyone done something like that? Any other types of natural dwelling I should investigate? Have you spent a night in something like that? In other words poorfag Hut thread.
