Rat anon here, I am tempted to use these since I have located the nest. How "smoky" do they get? I used a mammoth smoke bomb against them before and it lasted what seemed like 2 minutes. The problem is that the holes are in the hedges that makeup the property line. The neighbor is a cranky old coot to the east of me. I think he'd have a fit if clouds of toxic smoke came flowing through his yard.

they're smoky as fuck. you're supposed to get a bunch of rocks ready and seal all the holes. so you shove a smokebomb down one hole, put a rock on top, and keep an eye out for smoke and cover every hole or smoke leak with another big rock. really it's not supposed to be smokey above ground at all

I have located 2 holes in the hedges. Problem is that there is ivy gound cover in there too so I'm not sure how many holes there are. And there is a fence along the hedges so if there's a hole on the other side I won't be able to cover it in time.

whelp idunno what to tell you. normally you don't know where the holes are until the smoke starts, so you have to keep an eye out and be prepared. now if holes might be on the other side of the fence you're gonna have to wait till the ol' codger is asleep or out somewhere

Rats are awesome man, he'll literally eat anything including leftovers that are almost bad, and even helps with my PTSD

I used to have a pet rat too, and everything you say is true. Hoewever, once any kind of animal begins to infest your home you have to go immediately to the nuclear option or else you'll be overcome with piss, shit, fleas, and property damage. Shit gets out of hand and it happens very quickly

Never liked traps and the such and I don't really have rat problems, worst I have are groundhogs and I just shoot the ones that fuck with my garden, the thought of smoking them in their homes doesn't sit well with me, even though I know the end result is a dead animal regardless.
