Does anyone know of any big box sporting good stores that sells hookless gar lures? There's a small lake/lagoon near me that's filled with 36+ inch gar. I know they are hard to hook. I was out there with a plug yesterday for three hours and had them on the line several times but they always spit it out when I set the hook.

I would make my own gar lure but I'm fucking shit at arts and crafts type stuff.
