>>605229thanks bruv! well, it's hard to say how much it costs because i have lots of different audio/recording gear, and my mobile rig uses different components depending on what i'm doing. the only part of it that's actually really dedicated to mobile recording is the hand-held recorder, which is a couple hundred bucks. but then there's cables, preamps, phantom power, mics, hardware, etc. I built the jecklin disk myself so that saved me like a couple hundred bucks at least (it's fucking criminal that peopel sell a plate with foam on it for that much).
anyway, my typical rig that you see in that pic and in pic related is probably about $1000 worth of stuff total, again it's multi-use stuff that i use at home/in studio etc. i started with JUST the tascam recorder (which is ok but not exactly national geographic quality recordings) and I just added components slowly to the point where now I get really high quality recordings. The jecklin disk is a HUGE part of that too.
