9 years as a Marine Engineer , much fun was had circumnavigating the globe a few times, discharging cargo ( Chemy tanker) in all sorts of random ( and often sketchy as fuck) places. many evenings spent pissed up watching the sunset leading to best horizon to horizon no light pollution stargazing ever ( UMS master race 4tw!) or creating random shit in the workshops, or obscene Xbox marathon play troughs of GTA & Elderscrolls epic trolling fishing, and over the side at jettys if allowed. genuinely have sailed through pirate infested waters and have had to have 'contractors' onboard along with like a week long radio silence ( which was a cunt coz it meant having to run around to the phone system) sailed through hurricane chantal in 2001 on my 1st trip, when I was a total shit for brains cadet and seeing a grreen flash a fortnight later..., I was baptised by Neptune gong over the damn IDL - fuck I've got more tales of funny daft shite than I can remember
all fucked up when I slipped 2 discs onboard.
now back in North Wales, land bound, and have to walk with a stick and 'retired' by 32.
If you get the chance to sail away into the big blue, fucking take it bros, best thing I ever did I miss it something fierce
