As much as I hate gear threads, I need some guidance from my experienced sc/out/s.

I have roughly $150-$170 for a new knife and a small axe.

I have my eyes on the gransford bruks small forest axe, which is pricey, but I want to buy something that will last forever, and there's nothing I appreciate more than fine workmanship. I will be using it mainly to clear campsites, chop firewood/kindling, build shelters and fell small-medium hardwoods (I have my heart set on primitive bow making). Does anyone have experience with this axe? Is there an option more suited to my needs? I considered getting a hatchet but I want a bit more versatility. I should mention that I will be legging it everywhere with this axe, so it needs to fit in a pack.

For my knife I'm looking at the bushman survival knife. One peice construction looks awesome, and ill likely wrap the handle in para cord for a better grip and to have some rope on me. The knife needs to do knife things: whittling, fire making, skinning game, general camp stuff.

Suggestions, experiences and advice are greatly appreciated.
