>>609897 it's just a small roll up dump pouch. I find it useful for foraging ( I've had everything from shellfish to berries in there) collecting kindling, carrying a spare water bottle, my poncho between showers.... anything I don't want to mess the inside of my pack up with bits or moisture with I suppose, it's pretty versatile.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea as it's a mil type bag but the internal compartmentalisation I find incredibly useful- there is no need to root all the way to the bottom of your pack looking for stuff, you know EXACTLY where it all is and can get to it with a minimum of fuss. It's too small that you can't really bring all the junk with you, but big enough to pack for an overnighter and still have room for a warm hoody ect. It has all the usual refinements like chest strap (not waist though, it's big bro the 72 does) hydration bladder sleeve, solid removable back plate for stability, and drainage gromets.
The down side is that it's made mil-spec, which means 1000D nylon, big ass YKK zips, and snap buckles that could hold a sumo wrestler's trousers's up so it's heavy compared to other packs of it's size (37ish ltr) at 1670g
It is incredibly hard wearing though, in the 7 odd years I've owned it, I've dragged it all over the world. I even used it as a boat bag to go diving with at one point.
