>>608650I carry at least one spare tube (in case I get a hole that can't be patched), patch kit (in case I get more flats than I have tubes), pump, multitool with a mini chainbreaker, spare link, tire levers, a couple of zip ties for emergency repairs, and some duct tape wrapped around one of the tire levers. Don't often get flats offroad, but it happens.
Maintenance wise I use White Lightning "Clean Ride" on the chain so I don't have to clean it often (it's great stuff, it really is self-cleaning but the wax builds up after a while). After a messy ride I apply more White Lightning, let the mud dry on the frame, and then brush it off with a stiff brush. Measure the chain for stretch once in a while, and fix other stuff as it needs fixing.
Basic first aid stuff on the bike, like disinfectant wipes, ibuprofen and bandaids. I keep a better kit at home or in the car. Second Skin burn pads are amazing for road and trail rash, but I want to properly clean the wound first.
