I want to go /out/. I have no experience and I don't have any friends to show me the ropes or anything. I'm actually more interested in hiking and camping by myself but I understand that that's risky for a beginner. So I guess I want to ask you guys a few questions
What /out/ activities do you like to do and what got you into those things?
If you were going to introduce someone to those things, how would you go about it?
As a girl, am I disadvantaged with these kinds of activities and if so what things might apply to me that might not apply to most /out/ fellas? (If this is an annoying question or a faux pas, please forgive me and ignore this question.)
Also a more specific question, I am partially handicapped from a physical accident. My left arm is very weak. I have full range of motion but I can't lift more than 20 lbs with my left arm without serious pain, my right arm is fine though. Is this going to be a serious issue? Or more specifically, prevent me from /out/?
