BUT, don't rush it just because you set a timetable for yourself, wait til you're really ready. we had a ton of fun before we had him-traveled the world, asia, europe, crazy sierra adventures, rock climbing trips...
we still do tons of fun stuff (he's 9 months old, and i've already forgotten how many times he's been to yosemite-spent last weekend in the backcountry of tuolumne), but shit changes for sure.
of course, once he's big enough to belay...aw, shit, game on, son!
