I want to do what McCandless did, but survive to tell my story. How difficult is it to live off the land? I don't have a problem with hunting and killing animals. It's my dream to leave everything behind and survive (or thrive) alone by hunting and fishing.
After seeing Into the Wild I have to say I would have done a couple of things differently though I don't have much skills, yet. I bought the SAS survival guide and my plan is to learn & prepare this winter and go out the first thing in the spring.
