Hey folks!

Everything gardening-related seems to get directed here, so here I am. Didn't see anything on the first page, so here goes.

Balcony gardening! I'm mad for growing shit, but don't have the luxury of having a yard, on account of living in an apartment in the city. Other structures fuck with the light that I get, but some things are doing just fine, other things aren't.

The photo attached is from when I first moved into this place. I put a whole load of shit into milk crates lined with landscaping mesh, and so far I've got 8 different tomato varieties growing along with parsley, basil, coriander, and a few weird Australian and South African natives. The tomatoes are growing all the way to the top of that trellis now.

I'm super keen to see how any of you guys are growing with limited space and water. Water in particular. It's a rental property where I'm at, so I can't dick around with the structure of anything. Limited to 2-litre milk bottles under the drainpipe at present, but keen to see how you've made things work, or fail?
