Hello there. I am looking for the lightest possible backpacking tent I could possibly buy. Or at least within the confines of reasonable price ranges. Thank you. Pretty much looking for a tent under 3lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

If you're really going ultralight, look into tarp tents. There are some great options.

Or go all the way and go just tarp only. Pic realted.

Also, a hammock set up, especially in summer can be super light. Winter can be more tough since you need a decent underquilt, and topquilt. Still, an option though.

Op, I am planning for the Seirra Designs tent that uses trekking poles, not free standing about ~2# 2oz?

A weird name I keep forgetting... to lazy to search for it on my phn.
