Central jersey here, me and 3-4 friends are currently planning an excursion in January and we'd like to try skiing and/or snowboarding. But we also want to avoid the hustle, bustle and heavy expenses of staying at a resort by staying at a campground; what combinations of campgrounds and skiing/snowboarding places would be a good combination for beginners like us in the tri-state area, if any?
