Because you get to experience a world not refined by algorithms or code, but one defined by the creativity and beauty of non-human life. Of landforms and beings and people as diverse and numerous as all the stars of the sky. Finally being freed from the enclosure of walls and electric heat, being able to reinhabit your animalistic body. Those might be dismissed as "hippy bullshit" by most people, but I don't care. Those are things that video games can never give you.
