>>6504310 days is usually the average, but 14 isn't uncommon. Normally 2 days packing and preparing and double checking, 10 days in da bush, 2 days unpacking and unwinding/returning to normal society functioning before needing to go to work.
So about 120lbs/54.5kg of water and 78.2lbs/35.5kg of gear. I try never to break 200lbs(198.4lbs)/90kg; knees could take it if I did. That's for only 1 person's water needs though. There's usually 2 of us gong out so that's about 357lbs/162kg of water and gear between the two of us (178.5lbs/80.9kb per person).
The initial hike is only 15 miles/24km to base camp, so it isn't bad. I've only done it like 30 times in my life I think. I've recently been going to another place where I don't need to pack as much gear or water; where more people frequent.
