Texas has several provisions regarding property and what other people and lower levels of government can and cannot do with your property. For example, no trespassing signs every so often make it a crime to enter the land for any reason. Purple stripes at least 1 inch wide and 12 inches long painted on fence posts serve the same purpose. If you owned your land before it was incorporated by a city, and you have at least 10 acres, the city can in no way restrict your right to shoot guns on your land provided the bullets stop on your property. The list goes on, that's just a sample.
Before someone takes what was written above and makes some extreme argument out of it, I'll clarify something. Yes, you can shoot your guns right at the edge of your 10+ acre tract at 2:00 AM even if there's a city ordinance against it if you meet the timeline requirements of the law. Your neighbors who build a house 50 feet from the property line knew this and just have to live with it.
