I spent last New Years out in the woods. It was magical

I was at a high point of elevation kind of like in OPs pic and when midnight hit fireworks went off everywhere in the city below me and i felt very alone.

Unfortunately I live in Tulsa metro area now.... Used to live out on the edge of the wilderness around 25 miles away from here, so I no longer have the equipment I need to do so, however I am building a camping/survival kit in a waterproof Navy crate in the bed of my truck. Just need a tarp, a hammock and an ultralight sleeping bag.
