what are your hiking food hacks?
Stuff that's nutritious, non-perishable and maybe even a bit tasty. For warm climates this is my list:
- Sunflower seeds, probably half my caloric intake
- Bread or for longer trips hardtack
- Dried fruits (dates, peaches, sultanas etc)
- Rice or oats if I can make a fire (I don't carry stoves or gas burners or whatever)
very simple and gets boring on 3-4 day hikes. What could I add?
I'm too poor for jerky.
