I live in NW and I'm fucking sick of not being able to go anywhere interesting

Does anyone know of places nearby that are actually wild and extensive?

I don't wanna have to go to Scotland to go /out/

What's NW?

The Chilterns are nearby m8 and are nice for walking. Also the South Downs.

Well there's obv countryside everywhere but the nearest national park/area of natural beauty to you is the Chilterns.

Yeah it's true there is countryside everywhere, but at the same time it's very limited. There's always houses and villages and private fenced land
The fields near me for instance you can't walk freely in for more than 40 minutes

There are foothpaths literally everywhere m8, bridleways too, you can basically walk anywhere as long as you stick to them

Ay bro, book far enough in Advance you can get to Glasgow for 20£, 13£ with your railcard in 4 and a half hours, then you take the West Highland line and get off at Corrour station. BAM you're slapbang in the middle of NOWHERE, not even any roads for 10 miles. The Caledonian Sleeper also goes direct from London and stops at all these stations, but don't take it because it's SHIT, and EXPENSIVE.

Nice I live in Mill Hill/Totteridge
Most of the time I'm just out in the fields either side of the ridge
High Barnet / Brookman's Park had some decent forests if I remember correctly
