Anyone live in the LA area? Anyone know of any good places to hike or just get outdoors? The city life is really wearing me out

There is hiking up the angeles crest highway
Also some wonderful beach hikes in Palos verdes

I'm about to do a day trip up San Jacinto trying to get as far up and then turning back. Its a dry run to see what the cold is like for my try at getting to the peak,camping, then heading back.

Check out Malibu Creek State Park. Good place to hike and there's some decent climbing too. I lived in the San Fernando valley for almost all of my life.
