>>675425Id go to the Puget sound. There is an island I know of with quite a bit of acreage and only one cabin with no electricity. Set up for the "simple life" I would move there, loot some stores to get some supplies, some rice, some seeds plenty of tools and equipment. Get some chickens, plenty of fishing gear and crab traps.
I would loot the libraries. I would live my life in a comfy cabin with a good garden, chickens for food and eggs, plenty of fish and crab for eating. Plenty of books to read.
>>676157There isn't a lot of food that can be stored for more than a few years safely. A lot of foods go bad in a year or two, many canned foods become less safe after a few years, Even the "long term" foods only last a decade or more (hard grains like most of your wheats, spelt, white rice, Barley, oats, rye, dried beans) all of those will last 10-20 years.
Flour, canned meats, pastas, corn meal, powdered milk, canned veggies, nut butters and dried meats all will last 4-8 years or so
Salt, sugar and honey will last a lifetime.
