alright, I just got one of these and I love it, but what are some other ways to tie it?

I'm pretty ill informed on this, but to my understanding the turban and keffiyeh are a seperate item. The turban is a different shape/size of fabric, like so

You could tie a keffiyeh into a turban I suppose, but I don't know how. I hope someone proves me wrong, I would also like to know.

The kind of people who wear camo as a fashion statement seem to think it's a terrorist/communist flag, not a practical and versatile outdoor garment. If you don't have one you might not know it's a much lighter weave than most cotton which makes it good in the hot sun, and easy to breathe through when you tie it over your face. Its my favorite winter scarf when I want to keep the wind off my face & neck but it's not cold enough for a balaclava or heavy wool scarf.

But it is. Anywho I don't think I've seen a person use a shemagh in five years, they were real popular with edgy 16 year old female leftists for a while in my country. I had a bunch of them so I could get with the girls but I've thrown them all out.

I usually wear it with a hat in winter. I fold it into a triangle, take the ends back, cross behind my head, tie in front, and tuck it under the part hanging down from my face. It's great in cold weather because, unlike wearing a Buff over my face like I used to, the layers of cloth in this keep the air warm and prevent the moisture from building up to where you're just breathing through a cold, wet piece of cloth.

They're also good if you want to wear a ballcap under them so you have the covering of something like a balaclava but the bill of the hat for keeping sun out of your eyes when it's getting low.
