hmm the charge controller i have is 7 amps. the panel doesn't say 12 volt. will that be a problem?

I already charge the 12 volt deep cycle with a 7 watt trickle charge panel. I'm just wondering if my Sunforce 7 amp 12 volt charge controller would be the thing and would it just cut off if the panel went over 84 watts.
