>>693603The proper order of things to make is a metal hammer. Second is a metal spike/chisel. Third is a pair of metal tongs. Fourth is a metal file. After that you start making stuff like knives. The very first tool should be a wooden hammer to help shape the 1st metal hammer. Wood hammer suck, but it is the best you can do when you don't yet have an actual hammer. It also won't blind you like a stone would when shaping metal.
If you try to go from wooden hammer to knife without the other tools, life is going to be pretty harsh on you.
