Any tips on finding good trails? I live in the North East (near Sunderland) and am trying to find some decent places to take the dog for walks, since me and him are both getting tired of the same 2 or 3 routes.
I feel like I'm surrounded by farmers fields and they don't have any public footpaths around them that aren't next to main roads, there are a few places (forests and beaches), but they're all driving distance away.
Pic related, followed a couple of footpaths today and they terminated at a quarry, looking on google maps after the fact it seems there was a walkway around it that I missed but it wasn't signposted and seemed to terminate in another farmer's field (was mostly a route for tractors to get to the fields)
