Any Volt users here? I'm thinking of getting one for an upcoming trip to NZ (backpacking and hiking).
Just wanted to get opinions from people who have lived with them long-term. How do they hold up to abuse? Any features you wish it had? etc

I've been thinking about picking one up. It's not a priority since I have a 60l external frame.

Not sure if I'd go for the 60l or the 75l.

I currently use a 48L Berghaus and it is maxed out even just on overnighters. Better to have the space and not need it I guess

They look nice enough ( looking at the Volt 75 right now ) but what concerns me is the fabric in the main compartment: 210D Nylon Double Diamond Ripstop. I'm not familiar with that fabric and don't know how well it would hold up in comparison to a MILSURP bag or something made of 500D/1KD Cordura. I suppose finding the answer to your question might involve comparing the fabrics.

I bought a Volt 75 back in December for about 150 USD. I haven't used it yet but it seems like an excellent backpack for the money and reviewers seem to agree.

Mate I used the same pack when I went to NZ and it was bloody brilliant. The stretchy elastic pockets are so good.
It holds up reasonably well, but I have noticed a little bit of fraying where the shoulder strap padding connects to the nylon straps.
It could just be because I've loaded the shit out of it at some points and abused it a little, but I wouldn't recommend trying to carry more than 25kgs in it or you run the risk of straining it.

On my NZ trip if I just wanted to wear a T-shirt, one of my jumpers would have to be rolled up under the lid of the pack. If I had the 15 extra liters it could have gone in the pack. Just my experience doe
