So we have a biggest woods related fear thread, how about an urban exploration fear thread?

My biggest fear isn't the rotted floors or crackheads, definitely have to go with mold/asbestos, always wear a respirator just in case, fuck that. I'll dump some pics of the latest place i explored.

ps i also didnt wear a respirator in here because i have to buy new cartridges unfortunately, this back building seems like it was a mechanic shop or something. theres a neon sign out back that says bimbos, thats as close as i can tell anyway

I guess radiation would be my biggest concern, as I do love me some underground missile silos. Luckily, don't have a Geiger counter, so blissfully ignorant.

it took my friend and i like 4 hours to find this place because the directions on the site were hard to follow. At least it made it more fun in a way, but it just ended up being right across the street from where we parked, we used a tower in the picture the guy had to discern the proximity. Just as we had given up we saw the place through the trees from the road we were on, so glad we didn't go home without finding it.

There is always the fear of asbestos and whatever, but that isn't what I'm afraid of really. Live fast. Die young. I'm more concerned about getting arrested and losing scholarships etc. I also worry about the people I take along with me sometimes. They can be retarded and I don't know if I could deal with it if one of them got seriously hurt/died.

Becareful in Detroit buildings, scrappers tear apart aboden buildings for copper wire and such. Not so safe, and there's a epidemic of scrappers stealing lightpost batteries, so parts where deserted buildings are completely dark at night and are no man's land. It's best to go during the day, hell cops don't even patrol those areas much, you'll come across a lot less criminals and thugs.
You should also check out the salt mines under Detroit

I've found a few animals before, no humans ever though.

The saddest one was a dog that was clearly some homless persons, he had brought it to a nice clean room and left a bundle of flowers beside the body. I don't take a camera with me unfortunatly, but I would have felt weird taking pictures there anyway.
