i was always told not to explore the woods across the road, just the ones out back (they were small, walk in any direction for more than 1/2 an hour and you're at a road)
decide to be a badass and explore the ones across road. wound up in a swamp, figured i'd cross it. got to the middle , lost both my sneakers (2 cool 4 boots) dug them out and put them back on. chilled out there for 4 hours just trying to get out.
finally my dog found me (we just let him go wherever back then) so i'm thinking "sweet he'll bring me home" nope, fucker followed ME home. all in all i was out there from about 9am to 6 in the afternoon.
