I wanna get some wool clothing for my next trip outdoors.
Specifically, a wool sweater and 2 shirts (as a replacement for a fleece and functional t-shirts).

What should I look for? How much does one haveto pay to get decent quality?
I've researched a bit, but have no idea what the advantages of Merino, Alpaca, mixed fiber, etc. are. I don't want to have clothes that constantly scratch and itch.

tl/dr: Anyone have experience with wool clothing?
Also, outdoor clothing general, I guess.
