I was out fishing with some friends at a public place and one kid caught a small bluegill. It of course finned his hand when he tried to grab it. He dropped it and the situation made him angry. So, he decides to kick it....while barefoot. He ended up kicking the dorsal fin and the spines.
He screemed bloody murder for ages. The parent that came running up blamed us for it and called the cops. We gave statements witnesses gave statements, the 2 cops didn't do anything except give looks of extreme patience while listening to the kid bawl and the mother continually blaming us. They finally convinced her to take the child to the emergency room just to keep them from disturbing the peace any further.
