What is the maximum weight I could carry without hurting myself over very long distances? Any SF operators or non UL thru-hikers out there?
Let's say I'm thru-hiking (for example) the AT, or the American Discovery Trail - or any trail that takes at least 6 months to hike. Ideally travelling 15-20 miles a day, one break day a week, and have been training by walking 5-10 miles with 65 lbs around my home town or running the same distance every day for a few weeks.
I am 150 pounds, 5 foot 9 inches, and am in good running shape.
Do not suggest ultra light gear, this question is for a worst case scenario carry weight. Would I be able to carry, maybe 70 lbs 15 miles a day without injuring myself by the end of the hike?
