if you're for real my best advice is put this off for a couple months or a year and start with local biking trips that take 2-4 days. you'll learn what you need pretty quickly, but you won't be stranded in assfuck nowhere, or have the emotional refusal to accept failure that leads to injury or death. seriously. have you even ever spent a night /out/?
