You're a fucking idiot. How is it straightforward? The only way to get working residency on a visa is with an H-1B or O-1, both of which cost a lot of money and tie you to a company, typically, unless self-sponsored. Oh, there are study visas, but it's extremely hard to move from these visas to green cards to begin with. How is it 'straightforward'? You're uninformed.

And no, I don't mean that. You're already filling all H-1B's with low-paid Indians, but let's mot pretend like we're talking any job will get you an H-1B. You'll have to work in tech, medicine or science, and even then you have a terribly low chance of getting one as there is an annual quota, the employer can decide on a whim to fire you at which point you can simply be evicted from the country in a week or two with no recourse, and again, why would they hire you with the plentiful pathetic Indian sheep workers they can enlist?

I'd like to see how 'straightforward' = a single-employer tied, very expensive, limited-time limited-rights residency visa.

If you really like woods, I guess. I prefer the US just because it has such a diversity of ecosystems within its borders. Especially California. Any point in California is two hours or less away from a desert, coast, forest, mountain, or plain.
