I'm looking for a tandem fishing kayak, something sea worthy and surf-launchable. Sit on top is a must.
I have found the Jackson Big Tuna to be everything I could ever ask for in a kayak, but for $1800 I will sadly have to wait till they start turning up used.
I like the Ocean Kayak Malibu 2 XL. Anyone here have experience with it? Can you recommend any similar models? I like how the seats are completely removable and can be re-arranged in the boat.
Are there specific things I need to look for when buying a used kayak? Is there any downside to buying used? It's a big hunk of plastic, I can't image what could go wrong other than it leaking.
