So I want to go river tubing, I have never been. I am a very good swimmer and its a quiet hour long ride down the river. What do I need to know? I will be by myself.

I am thinking of just wearing a tank top and some shorts, flipflops a hat and sunglasses. I was thinking leaving all my stuff behind, but considering bringing my phone in a ziplock bag in a plastic container just incase i get stuck or something. And beer, lots of beer, and sunscreen.

What else should I know? Should I buy a tube w/ backrest or an inflatable river boat type thing? Share your expertise
