If one was to use a low draw weight recurve bow and light arrows with the heads replaced with foam balls, and then only stalked larger prey (boar, deer) can anyone see any ethical/legal problems with this? I want to participate in the fun of hunting but I don't wish to take something's life for a bit of fun (not judging if you do, far better than supermarket stuff). I live in nz if anyone knows the specific laws regarding this. Also I would carry a knife firstly because standard /out/ gear but secondly incase I had to defend myself, ideally I'd just climb a tree though.
