Friend who's about 30-40 miles away took a pic of a full grown black panther in his yard.
A couple days after I saw the pic I was just out for a walk after dark. Was about a half mile from the cabin and I heard a growl.
Almost shit my pants.
Started looking around everywhere with the flashlight- I was in that fight or flee mode.
Then my stomach growled again....
Felt like a retard, but was still very cautious.
Theres a pond 4-5 miles away (that my creek feeds) that has gators.
Neighbor was out coon hunting and got surrounded by a pack of coyotes. By themselves they're no big deal, but a pack can kill you.
I try to carry a sidearm with me if I go more than 100 feet from the cabin.
Since its rattlesnake season its even more important.
