>>849900I worked 2 seasonal jobs right after I got out of the Army. Not that interesting, but I guess it's something.
>Chair Lift Operator at Large Ski Resort5 of us worked the one lift. 3 on the bottom and 2 up top. The job was easy and we were all pretty competent people, so typically we would just put 1 guy outside and take turns sitting in the shack. So you ended up working only half the day but got paid for a whole day. Made $14/hour. I have been skiing all my life, so having a free pass and even access to the mountain when it's closed for the public was awesome.
>Water delivery for wildland firefightersAll of Washington State was burning down if you remember in the summer of 2015. My experience/CDL from the Army was all I needed to qualify. Definitely had my butthole pucker more than a few times. Driving a heavy as shit water tanker down a tiny log road with multiple vehicles coming around the bend all the time hauling ass definitely put you on edge. There was also several times where both the firefighters and I are literally trying to outrun the fire because it was burning that fast. This job paid like shit, $90 per delivery and 55 cents a mile. I was making less than minimum wage at the end of the day, but it was an awesome experience.
