I just watched season 2. I want to see more. Looks promising, looking to find the first season and wondering what winter will will be like for them.

Pretty ok show. Some of the characters are more interesting than others. Its on one of the streaming sites. If you want to see some A+ homesteading, i'd say watch "Port Protection" or maybe one of the other Alaska shows. That seems more real and sustainable and less "I'm a burn out hippy living in the woods"

He basically puts himself into a survival situation, and really struggles. And he's wearing stupid fucking clothes, like some kind of hipster pinocio and gets heavy sunburn on his arms like a tube

Thorn seemed a bit more legit as he has been living like that for a while. Don't agree with a lot of his shit tho', his cabin is fucking retarded, and he eats roadkill. He doesn't seem as learned as some of the others, and seems prone to botch a job by winging it (like when he breaks his axe)

The old dude in the swamp was by far the best character. Could tell he's experienced, and it's clearly shown when you contrast his hunting to the others.

The blacksmith was the other standout character, but seriously his corral was shite. He had plenty of wood to knock together a pole fence and his mules breaking free was totally preventable.

The homesteaders were cool, too. She'd get pumped.

I cant help but feel the show has gone to shit during s3, like nothings fucking happening and its stupid as shit, its gotten real slow and hard to watch. Feels like the most artificial season so far, like the producers are spending a lot more time influencing whats going on instead or just observing which makes me not want to watch anymore.

colbert is still GOAT, im fed up with thorn at this point, like sort yer shit out man quit living so shitty. tony and amelia are breddy good and honestly i think ive learned the most from them in terms of thinking about how to solve problems, i enjoy watching their little segments the most now.

More like the internet is full of people who see these shows and then argue over how effective the people are, whether their way is the 'right' way, shit like that. I've read far more online arguments over which survival guy is best, Les Stroud or Bear Girls, than I have news stories about dipshits who died trying to live off the land.
