Does longboard touring count? I want to do a tour of New England on a longboard at some point, the major tour routes are ~1500 miles, although I think my route would be a bit higher, due to using smaller roads.

I would probably use a backpack. There's a guy who did a tour from Switzerland to Shanghai (7700 miles, iirc) on a longboard, and turned an old longboard into a sort of miniature trailer and hitched that to his board.

I have a Thorn Nomad mk2 that's too small for me. I also don't like the frame because overbuilt and heavy, no way to use a belt drive without modifications, and s&s couplings I don't use. I want to just buy a new frame and move everything over because the components are good. Anybody know of a frameset that's compatible with 26in wheels, rohloff and belt, rim brakes, and eccentric BB? Steel, Alu or Ti, doesn't matter

I really really want dat belt though. I mean thats half the point of owning a rohloff.

There is an RV park near the entrance to fill up on water. I carried in 11 litres to cover 3 days. On the west side you can reach the Green River but it's way too silty to filter. Usually people cycling it have a 4wd truck follow them carrying a large reservoir, I passed two groups and they both offered me water.
